The Story Beneath The Story
The story we follow, "The Goblin of Adachigahara", originates from Japanese fairy tales compiled by Yei Theodora Ozaki. It recounts a lost pilgrim's unsettling night in a dilapidated hut. I wonder, what could possibly be hiding in a forbidden inner room, and how far can a man push his curiosity when faced with the unknown?
After traveling through the thrilling events of the tale, we move to my memory, which involves four friends trying to locate buried gold using a dangerous spiritual method. Together, these experiences allow us to examine the concept that fear, rather than only being terrifying, can actually be a powerful mechanism for developing our capacity for empathy.
